As funding landscapes evolve, countries are facing difficult decisions about how to sustain decades of progress against malaria and other infectious diseases. While commodities often receive the most attention, investments in surveillance, workforce development, data systems, and community engagement are equally essential to protecting lives.
In response to these challenges, the Bridge the Gap initiative was launched, bringing together experienced malaria and public health leaders to work directly with National Malaria Control Programs. Through country-led gap analyses, the initiative helps governments identify critical funding gaps, prioritize high-impact investments, and strengthen the evidence needed to engage existing and new funding partners.

Bridge the Gap was born out of a believe that resilient health systems are built through strong partnerships, local leadership, and data-driven decision-making. We remain committed to supporting countries as they adapt to a changing global health landscape.
