Last year marked the first year that Reveal was deployed in Nigeria, Africa's most populous country, for use in seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC). Together, @Malaria_Consortium and Akros worked with the Nigeria NMEP to support the planning, tracking, and delivery of SMC in six rural health facility catchments in Sokoto State in northern Nigeria in 2021. Last month Akros had the pleasure of attending @WH Last month Akros had the pleasure of attending @WHO's Kigali Summit on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). Hosted by the Government of Rwanda and taking place alongside the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), the summit convened some of the most influential voices in global health, including world leaders, leading WHO figures, philanthropists, scientific experts, global influencers and community champions. The summit culminated with a Call to Action, focusing on the specific actions needed to end malaria and NTDs once and for all. Here is Akros' own David Ndayishimiye together with Eugene Ruberanziza from the RBC NTD Unit at the event. We are invigorated by the discussions from this summit and motivated to carry on the push to #beatNTDs.
