We were happy to round out the year by meeting wit We were happy to round out the year by meeting with our INFORM partners at the NIH DS-I Africa consortia meeting in South Africa at the end of 2022. Now in its second year of operation, the NIH INFORM consortium aims to pull together COVID-19 and HIV data streams, as well as genomic data, epidemiological data sets, spatial mobility data, and environmental and socioeconomic data from across a few different projects and analyze them geospatially. It was great to convene in person, and we're eager to share data insights discovered through this partnership.

Naomi Assegied has joined Akros Research as a Country Manager under the Africa CDC and Mastercard Foundation Saving Lives and Livelihoods initiative. She is based in Ethiopia and will be supporting implementation in Ethiopia and a few other East African countries. Welcome, Naomi!

African leaders and global health experts are conv African leaders and global health experts are convening in Kigali, Rwanda this week for the 2nd international Conference on Public Health in Africa #CPHIA2022. The conference aims to significantly advance efforts to strengthen research, innovation, and emergency management in Africa, and Akros Research was expertly represented by our own James Nyirenda as a part of the @AfricaCDC and @MastercardFoundation's Saving Lives and Livelihoods initiative. We are looking forward to the remaining few days of this important event.
