Implementation
PROXIMITY MATTERS
A huge challenge in public health programming, particularly in the developing world, is the programming itself—recruiting skilled people, handling procurements, developing plans that embrace on-the-ground realities.

How We Do It

Considering the enormous challenges posed by the above factors, it is nearly impossible to provide reliable public health support to developing-world countries from a distance. You must be close to the action. Based in Lusaka, Zambia, our team lives right smack in the middle of it all, and we have logged years of experience in managing hundreds of successful projects in sub-Saharan Africa.
Why is this valuable? First, it means that our technical expertise is fully rooted in the stark realities of our target environment. If you receive advice from Akros, it is advice that will be fully compatible with developing world exigencies. Second, we are prepared to provide turnkey public health support to regional governments and partners. Not only do we have the capacity to design intelligent, targeted, country-specific strategies, we can implement them as well.
