Business Analyst for Digital Implementation – Mozambique

Mozambique

We are looking for a skilled, business analyst who has significant experience handling end to end program implementations, particularly implementations of digital data systems. This individual will support the testing and piloting of DIGIT (Digital Infrastructure for Governance, Impact and Transformation), which is a digital public good. DIGIT is an open, interoperable free-to-use platform that offers solutions for citizens, first mile employees, administrators, commercial players and policy makers.

The business analyst will support Akros’ in-country presence and close working relationships with the Ministry of Health (MISAU) Mozambique to spearhead coordination with stakeholders and will maintain a strong understanding of all moving pieces within the project. Best candidates will be ready to jump in and work with highly technical teams to ensure DIGIT is implemented inline with MISAU requirements. The individual will coordinate with other project stakeholders to ensure that the project is adequately monitored and evaluated, and that all perspectives and experiences are captured and incorporated into learnings for future improvement and iteration. The business analyst will also work with implementation teams to understand existing country and use case context, and to configure and deploy the existing open-source platform to swiftly meet field needs. Technical Analyst for Digital Implementation – Mozambique

This individual will support the testing and piloting of DIGIT (Digital Infrastructure for Governance, Impact and Transformation), which is a digital public good. DIGIT is an open, interoperable free-to-use platform that offers solutions for citizens, first mile employees, administrators, commercial players and policy makers.

The technical analyst will build close working relationships with the Ministry of Health (MISAU) Mozambique to spearhead the technical standup of the DIGIT platform in Mozambique. Best candidates will be ready to jump in and work with highly technical teams to ensure DIGIT is implemented in line with MISAU requirements. The technical analyst will also work with software development team members to configure and deploy the existing open-source platform to swiftly meet field needs. He or she will work closely with the business analyst (also currently being recruited for) to prepare for pilot and scale of the DIGIT platform. He or she will work closely with MISAU and partner technical staff to build in-country capacity for implementation of the DIGIT platform.

M&E CONSULTANT

Kenya

Akros is recruiting a consultant to work closely with the Kenyan Ministry of Health Division of Vector Borne and Neglected Tropical Diseases (DVB-NTD), implementing partners, and the Vihiga County Health Department, and subcounty and ward teams, to implement digital health tools during the upcoming soil-transmitted helminths/schistosomiasis Mass Drug Administration campaign in Vihiga County in December 2022. Administrative Officer – Therapeutic Information and Pharmacovigilance Centre (TIPC)

Windhoek, Namibia

Akros Research is supporting a 3-year program, funded by the Mastercard Foundation and in partnership with the Africa CDC, to increase Covid19 vaccine uptake in Africa. This initiative, called Saving Lives and Livelihoods, includes multiple components and partners working to procure, distribute, and promote vaccine uptake in a safe manner. As a part of this consortium Akros Research will support Africa Union member states in the Eastern and Southern African regions to strengthen COVID-19 vaccine safety surveillance systems. Under this initiative, Akros Research is seeking a Administrative Officer – Therapeutic Information and Pharmacovigilance Centre (TIPC) to support the transfer of AEFI reports to the TIPC, the management AEFI data (including entry into DHIS2 and the VigiFlow database), the preparation of data analysis documents and reports, and the coordination and logistic support for case investigations from the national level to the regions and districts.

Vaccine Safety Pharmacist

Under this initiative, Akros Research is seeking a Vaccine Safety Pharmacist to support AEFI surveillance systems strengthening and coordination of vaccine safety regulatory functions.

DHIS2 Engineer – Short-Term Consultancy

Namibia

The Consultant will work with Akros Research to provide direct engineering support to the Namibian Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders to improve the existing DHIS2 instance for AEFI reporting, and any other modules within the national DHIS2 platform that require support in order to deliver a fully functioning system for safety surveillance. The Consultant will actively liaise with key actors within the respective government, district and sub-district stakeholders, stakeholders participating in the COVID-19 response, HISSP, and Akros Research senior management and software development teams to facilitate the realization of activity objectives. The engineer will be responsible for conducting initial scoping to document user challenges and requirements, execute fixes and changes to key business processes within the system, conduct testing and support final rollout, and provide comprehensive documentation. Quality assurance will be overseen by Akros Research and the Namibian MOH HIRD.

Pharmacovigilance (PV) Expert and Local Representative (Consultancy)

Somalia

Akros Research is supporting a 3-year program, funded by the Mastercard Foundation and in partnership with the Africa CDC, to increase Covid19 vaccine uptake in Africa. This initiative, called Saving Lives and Livelihoods, includes multiple components and partners working to procure, distribute, and promote vaccine uptake in a safe manner. As a part of this consortium Akros Research will support Africa Union member states in the Eastern and Southern African regions to strengthen COVID-19 vaccine safety surveillance systems.

The Consultant will support Akros Research to conduct an assessment of the data systems for reporting adverse events following immunization (AEFIs) and adverse events of special interest (AESIs) and, in coordination with the Akros team, develop recommendations for improving data systems for reporting and sharing real-time data for AEFI and AESI in Somalia. Additionally, this individual will serve as a local representative for Akros’ work. This will require attending event as needed to present on behalf of the project and performing administrative tasks required for activity implementation.

South Sudan Local Consultant

The Local Consultant in South Sudan will support Akros Research in implementation and coordination of program activities, ensuring a successful implementation of a SLL programme’s COVID-19 vaccine safety surveillance. The Consultant will actively liaise with key actors within the respective government institutions, other stakeholders participating in the COVID-19 response, and Akros Research senior management to facilitate the realization of program objectives and optimize resource flow.

Health Implementation Consultant—Senegal & Mali

We are looking for a skilled, technical program manager to work with and support field-based implementation teams, understand field needs, and translate those needs into planning and implementation system design and modifications. The PM will independently establish close working relationships with the Senegal and Mali NTD teams, will spearhead coordination with stakeholders, and will maintain a strong understanding of all moving pieces within the project, managing and tracking tasks against timelines. Best candidates will be ready to jump in and work with our technical teams to configure and deploy a digital platform for geospatial data collection and intervention planning to swiftly meet client needs.
